CAM in UME

The CAM in UME project is a Canadian medical education initiative established in 2003 by a team of conventional and CAM educators, to assist medical educators in imparting knowledge, skills, and attitudes to discuss CAM with patients in an informed and non-judgmental manner. The Project’s resources include:
1. a searchable Digital Resource Repository of over 100 CAM-oriented teaching/learning resources and peer-reviewed curriculum guidelines
2. a set of CAM-related competencies for undergraduate medical education (UME)
3. a guide to assist medical school educators to implement CAM teaching in their school

For more information about the CAM in UME project, please contact Rebecca Brundin-Mather, Project Manager

IN-CAM Outcomes Database

The purpose of the IN-CAM Outcomes Database is to facilitate and support the assessment of CAM interventions through high quality research by creating a database of outcome measures of particular relevance and importance to CAM research. The goals of the IN-CAM Outcomes Database project are to:
1. Make practical information accessible on a wide range of outcome measures relevant to CAM research.
2. To organize and categorize outcome measures within a unique Framework of Outcome Domains that integrates measurable domains of health into a unified scheme.

For more information about the IN-CAM Outcomes Database, please contact Ania Kania, Project Manager.
